Lake Tahoe - Snow Edition

Despite mother nature's unwillingness to cooperate, we did manage to clock in a day of skiing. For snow that was entirely manmade, it was pretty great. Unfortunately, only 20% of the slopes were open but it gave us more time to slow down and drink in the view.

Adieu, Tahoe. We will meet again one day--when I'm rich, famous and owner of lakefront property. Oh, a girl can dream.

Lake Tahoe

Arrived at Lake Tahoe early in the morning with hopes of snow and some quality skiing. But mother nature had different plans for us. So instead, we took advantage of the deliciously warm weather and went for a long, leisurely lunch at Riva Grill by the lake. (Hands down the best garlic bread I've ever had! If you ever go, get the mussels with a side of garlic bread--mmm, it is heavenly.) Apres lunch, we couldn't help but snap a few photos--the sun was angled perfectly.

Big smiles and even bigger, hiccupy laughs. It really was a picture perfect day by the lake with the people I love.

Napa Valley

Spent a night at Napa Valley on my way to Lake Tahoe. It was exactly what I imagined the wine country to be--quaint and shrouded in a kind of hazy lull you only get from an overindulgence in wine. And overindulge I did. So here are pictures to replace my words because I'm currently suffering from a severe food coma...

Good night, good night!

San Francisco

After twenty four long hours of travel, I finally arrived at San Francisco as the sun was setting. I've never explored a city at night and I highly recommend it! You avoid all the long lines and crowds of happy snappers and get to truly enjoy the beautiful city in all its light drenched peace and glory.

San Francisco took my breath away. I am so in love with the crazy steep slopes, the views of the ocean and twinkling cityscape at every corner.
